Day 2 of 100 days of coding… and man did I struggle. This again sent me down the spiral of dark despair, of which I’m still slowly climbing out of.
Anyway, the challenge for today was to create 4 different kinds of sin/cos waves. I’ve been wanting to really understand how this works on code and how to make it work for me in different ways… and I still haven’t been able to crack it. Goal for the winter break? brush up on my trig and linear algebra….and maybe OpenFrameworks.
After trying for a while, I managed to snag Aaron Montoya (who’s a freaking wizard) and he sat with me and explained the whole thing. Together we played around with numbers and sin/cos waves until we landed in this. I tweaked some colors and directions, but for the most part left it pretty much how we did it. Good tip he gave me: comment the shit out of your code… something I’m starting immediately.
Hopefully by the end of this I’ll be coding cool stuff on my own. For now, I just gotta keep swimming.
